Does it? Spurs were still looking fairly decent at that point and didn’t have the injuries they do now.

I think our fans need to stop finding sticks to beat us with.

It’s tough enough as it is.

Utterly bizarre isn't it. What the hell does this have to do with our win at spurs when they were at full strength and in good form Vs there situation now where they are decimated by injuries.

Absolutely pathetic post.

Everyone’s taking points off Tottenham at the moment, for sure, but it’s worth pointing out that their results in the league games they played either side of our visit there were a 4-1 home win over Aston Villa and a 4-0 win at Manchester City.

Spurs have lost 8 of their last 10 games. Perhaps they are going to get sucked into it?

If they had won then, they would’ve gone fourth. Since then, they have had a lot of injuries and been awful. Almost a totally different team and mentality.

Winning at the time at Spurs was a great achievement. It’s still is, but form and injuries have made it a tad less so.

Then I apologise. I ignorantly believed comparing our delirious 2-1 win away at Spurs with Leicesters 2-1 win away at Spurs was putting it in perspective.

Spurs v Ipswich: Vicario, Porro, Udogie, Romero, Dragusin, Bentancur (Bissouma 84), Sarr (Werner 66), Kulusevski, Son, Johnson, Solanke (Maddison 84)
Unused Subs - Bergvall, Davies, Spence, Forster, Gray, Lankeshear

Spurs v Leicester: Kinsky, Porro, Gray (Lankshear), Dragusin, Davies, Bentancur, Sarr (Reguilon), Bergvall, Kulusevski, Son, Richarlison (Moore)
Unused Subs - Ajayi, Austin, Bissouma, Olusesi, Yang Mi-Hyeok

Whilst we'd still rate the XI who started today about Town's, there's still a difference there, particularly in defence and on the bench.

The 10-match form table for when we played Spurs https://www.twtd.co.uk/league-tables/competition:premier-league/daterange/fromda

The 10-match form table for before today's match https://www.twtd.co.uk/league-tables/competition:premier-league/daterange/fromda

There's your comparison. Of course, it was great for Leicester on the form they are in, but let's not pretend it is the same Tottenham any more than the Man City we played were the same one that had played a long time without the likes of De Bruyne and struggled.

"Particularly in defence".

They played Johnson, Solanke and Maddison against us vs Bergvall, Richarlison and Mikey Moore ... in attack.

So from 'a fact' to retracting. This is why I said engage your brain. Perhaps that came across a bit full on but last week or so a section of our fans have been spouting some really toxic stuff like this. I respect the fact you are now retracting it at least!

They played Kulusevski, Son and Richarlison as a front three today - that's not dreadful on paper, and two of them started against us. Maddison only came off the bench in the 84th minute in our game. True, missing both Johnson and Solanke is huge for them.

I think the main advantage we had against Spurs was that they had a tough game in Turkey the Thursday before and we capitalised on it.
