Philogene off, Delap wide right and Hirst up top should have been the switch.

Because we're not getting 2 and he's got another game midweek which we have more chance of getting points in then this one as it stands.

Probably because of we overwork him and he ends up injured he won't be able to score any goals for us, full stop. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

He was coming off when we were 1 behind so I don't think that's a valid argument. Doesn't matter now. Player down, game continues, goal for them. SB

A world where the manager has an active tactic of high pressing, working the hell out of the no 9 and then refreshing it to keep the intensity.

Nobody has a right to be in the premier league. Got to earn your place. Other teams have gone up and managed to cement a place. We just haven't been good enough

Having come straight from League 1. And we have given it a better go than Leicester and Southampton (so far).

Can we stop blaming other’s. We’re simply not good enough at this level. That’s not to say we won’t be back but we’ve raced ahead of our own curve.

Exactly, let's just flog our best players to death! We've already experienced how debilitating injuries can be this season. If Delap ended up with a muscle in the last 10 minutes everybody on here would be slating McKenna for not taking him off in a game we'd already lost!

Not blaming others. Simply pointing out the disparity between the prem league and championship is ridiculous now, much more than it ever was.

I mean that the PL clubs act in their own interests and have done for years. Start with the closed shop academy system, player loans and hoarding, the huge financial gap. Multiple subs favouring teams with bigger squads etc.

FFP favours established and big clubs. It restricts those who are promoted in that they need to spend more to bridge the gap but can’t. Established teams can spend >£100m year on year compounding the gap in quality. You can have a team full of players worth over £40m whereas a newly promoted team could only buy a couple at that level. Essentially getting to the point or being a franchise league, and with parachute payments being so much you’ll largely end up with the same 6 teams swapping between PL and EFl (we were just gatecrashers).
