Good to see someone else go up but the league will be a lot harder with Sheffield United in it.

Souza and Hamer need to be off.

Their midfield won them so many games this season. If they both leave they will be in that same midfield market we are in.

But be significantly weaker

I think they’ll be in turmoil; not sure Wilder will last too long if they have a poor start.

I don’t particularly like Sunderland tbh. They are convinced they’re a huge club when I really don’t think they are. Look at their reaction when we got Clarke. They were also bang average throughout the playoffs. They’ll get battered next year.

Not really an injustice as both teams qualified for the playoffs. The fact that one team finished third and twenty or so points ahead of sixth is irrelevant.

I think we should go all out for Hamer. Would be perfect I think. And if Sheff Utd not going up means we'd get him then worked out well.

Souza I actually think would be better for us.

Absolute wrecking ball in midfield but also very mobile. Expect he be playing in a first division somewhere though.

They’ll get humped twice by Newcastle and finish on about 20 points but that’s more a sorry reflection on the league rather than them.

Agree but I think it might be worse for them than that though, they are no way near as good as the three that went up last year squad wise. They got some decent young players though, will see how they spend.

It's not ideal. They're a bit of an odd rag-tag of players on paper but there's quality and a fair bit of knowhow. Really didn't end the season very well though. Hopefully doesn't end up being a Leeds-type situation.

Maybe, especially as Leeds or Burnley won’t be easy to take points off let alone the other 17 clubs. Mind you if they spend fairly hard & wisely I don’t think there’s any reason why they should fare too much worse than us or Leicester have this season. Either way they’ve got no hope of staying up.

Hasn’t the chap that scored the winner already signed for Brighton as well?

They were right there and Leeds went on an awful run, which is largely forgotten now. I’d be very angry to not get out of that division this year if I were them. Sunderland were very average throughout the mini tournament as well.

Yeah, don't think their fans were very happy about that situation at the time - suspect they've changed their tune a bit now!
