Mimicking the pro’s. 10:13 - Aug 11 with 1623 views | Sharkey | I just walked past some kids playing kickabout football in a playground, and one of them did the exaggerated make-yourself-small, hands-behind-the-back posture that the Palace defender did before Liverpool’s first goal on Saturday. It’s not like there was even a ref there to award a harsh handball!
Mimicking the pro’s. on 10:22 - Aug 11 with 1506 views | ArnoldMoorhen | There is an irony in the fact that the directive about "unnatural" body position has resulted in defenders playing safe by adopting an unnatural body position, isn't there?

Mimicking the pro’s. on 14:03 - Aug 11 with 933 views | fabian_illness | I gave up football about 15 years ago. In a pre season friendly, some new kid came on as sub in a snood and bent down to pick up a few blades of grass which he kissed, then he crossed himself with. I asked our centre back if he was religious, he said 'No. Hes from Whitton'.

Mimicking the pro’s. on 14:18 - Aug 11 with 816 views | BloomBlue | I see a lot of kids playing kick around in a park near where I live, tops for goal posts etc. I always smile when the ball goes out of play and the nearest kids raise their hand and shout 'our ball ref', even though there isn't a ref . Although sadly as I live in south/east London I always half expect the other kid to pull out a knife and stab them, and it wouldnt surprised me if they did. Such a sad, but innocent world.
Mimicking the pro’s. on 15:07 - Aug 11 with 705 views | Vic | It does make you laugh doesn't it. I run a youth club for primary school age kids and of course the just love to play footie - didn't we all at that age. What makes me laugh is the way some of the better 10 yr old lads go absolutely mental when they score, running round the sports hall ending up with a knee slide! "Lads, lads, it's OK but you did only score a goal against a 6 yr old.

On the other hand, when the pros do it, most of the time it's the same signal. So, do you need a code-book to be able to decipher whether when, say, a Villa or a Spurs player, puts one arm up, what that raised arm means to each team - or is it all just hopeful nonsense? [Post edited 11 Aug 17:12]

As a sports teacher for the last 26 years ...I have seen a real issue with college teams not having any number 9s, all the students want to be AM or CDM, I think it's is because nobody wants to take the risk they miss some chances as a 9

I managed to decipher Grant Leadbitter's, 1 arm up meant he was hitting the first man, 2 arms aloft meant he was hitting the first man.
