I know I’m being greedy but… on 08:32 - Aug 30 with 798 views | wrightsrightglove | Really difficult to do, but also really important. Do we have one more loan spot? That position is absolutely vital to the way we play and if we lose Matusiwa for any length of time then we don’t have anyone who can truly replace him in the squad at the moment (as was the same with Morsy). Fingers crossed we can squeeze one more in
I know I’m being greedy but… on 10:16 - Aug 30 with 690 views | Markp68 | I don’t think it’s greedy and I feel exactly the same. One long term injury to Matusiwa, Jens or Nunez and the back up is nit as strong. I’d be surprised if we’re not still looking at that area and almost certainly still money left.

1 loan left, an u21 loan counts for the 25, so probably be after a permanent U21 if anything.

Loans count but permanent’s don’t? Huh, I didn’t know that. So if we want a loan we just arrange a permanent for 1 year with a clause committing the selling club to buy back for the same value minus the loan fee. Job done!

Applaud the ingenuity but would you sign that deal as a young Arsenal player? 😅

Yes, I suppose there’s a risk they find out were more MASSIVE than Arsenal and won’t want to go back

It's a shame we don't have a suitable understudy coming through from the U21s. It would be risky for any run of games but useful as a relief for Matusiwa in games where we are comfortable and could see out the last twenty minutes.

I know I’m being greedy but… on 10:52 - Aug 30 with 448 views | BouncebackIpswich | Absolutely agree with this, 3 excellent options in midfield and after that not a lot, although Taylor is serviceable you wouldn't want him having a lengthy run as starter. We could really do with another body in MF, also gives us the option to go 4-3-3
I know I’m being greedy but… on 11:38 - Aug 30 with 328 views | pointofblue | No, it's still a must and is why, even after the signing of Cajuste, releasing Morsy until ensuring we had adequate depth in the position was daft. If we go into the season with our current midfield options we're setting ourselves up for a tough time of it - especially if Matusiwa picks up a long term injury. Bring in a new player and either sell Taylor or loan Humphreys out, dependent on Woolfenden's future. Being greedy is wanting a keeper who suits our system more but isn't a complete liability. Although, when you consider Manchester City seem to be riding or dying with James Trafford, it's obvious it's a tough position to fill considering the expectations of the modern game.

He'll probably end up signing for a Saudi team. I'm slightly surprised Leeds haven't attempted to bring the prodigal son home.

I know what you mean but I can't see that any player anywhere near the quality of what we have would be tempted to sign knowing they they are 4th reserve. I think we should stick with Taylor & Humph and Bayfield (?)

I know I’m being greedy but… on 11:57 - Aug 30 with 240 views | Mark | I agree. Morsy himself would have been ideal to cover that position over the final year of his contract, but as we let him go I think we need a new DM. It's a pity one of our goalkeepers isn't U21 to free up a slot.
