| So.. passing. 18:48 - Nov 1 with 2631 views | FrimleyBlue | Genuine question about today From the 72nd minute. I was quite impressed by some of our passing. Esp from the back. Some crisp play and some lovely transitions up the pitch. Nothing much came of it but it looked comfortable and well managed. How were were overall in the game with our passing. Does it look like we showing much more of an understanding of each other's game? | |

| So.. passing. on 18:54 - Nov 1 with 2509 views | StochesStotasBlewe | Not as fluid in the first half and gave the ball away cheaply a few times in dangerous situations. Second half was much, much better and our third goal was beautifully crafted from deep inside our half to Hirsts finish. | |

Thinks it'll always be part of it Watching highlights across different games. There are part of the game even for the top sides.

We play a few more from most, sometimes under entirely no pressure at all either It's still a new group and they are growing together

Do we tho or it seems we do because it's the club we support. Watching villa just now and Liverpool there's been loads of passes straight to the opponent. Look at the Liverpool goal too. I just think sometimes the fact we support town makes it looks worse than what it is.

Yeah I noticed certain things evening in those final 20 minutes which included the 'finishes' it's definitely getting there. Seeing egeli with the confidence to drive is a lovely sight too. Such a powerhouse. Also.. nice to see some higher balls across the box rather than the regular drilled balls that were being kneed away. What i love about this goal tho is nunez quickly passing and going. Peak chappers moment :)

SB something else I just noticed. Taylor. Think he points to davis to tuck in whilst he carries on himself and gets in the box... simple organisation but good to see.

Villa look potentially more suicidal than us, even if it is the top level Hasn't Matinez had a few ricks this season already?

The thing is, if you play without ever giving the ball away, you're playing too far within your own capabilities. If that's enough to win the league that's fine, but not if that league win brings you a promotion to a much tougher league where playing within your own current capabilities will see you relegated. So unless you are already elite for the current level AND ready for the next level, you have to play a game with mistakes in it, because you have to stretch yourself and develop your players and your team play. I'm saying it's important that we are making some mistakes and challenging ourselves, because the training ground is great, but the place where the player/team development is really locked in is out on the pitch in competitive games, where good and bad, and then more good things happening are the real drivers of necessary improvement.

I think the return of Walton has made a big difference to our playing out from the back. He’s far more decisive than Palmer and doesn’t hang on to the ball too long.

This. I felt yesterday 1st half there were some frustrating moments. However, we were more often giving the ball away because of trying to make something happen and working the ball. Rather than earlier games where it was easy misplaced passes or being caught in possession.
| So.. passing. on 09:30 - Nov 2 with 581 views | Mullet | I'm not sure it was passing so much yesterday as shape and system. Very much a game of two halves. We took the lead early, messed it up and then second half really put the pressure on them. It was a very professional job in many ways, given we broke QPR mentally by the time we went 3-1 up. | |

QPR chasing the game helps, we need the early goal in games to open teams up, as they stick everyone behind the ball to frustrate the game, Walton was unlucky, the ball was moving about and dipped , if it wasn’t for that, we’d have probably bagged another couple of goals, as we pulled them apart at 3-1.
