The Athletic had quite a few pieces around the Greenwood situation, basically they will be on very shaky ground as far as terminating contracts and withholding salary until any legal process plays out
So given their hands are largely tied there hard to argue they’ve not done as much as they can - particularly when there’s numerous examples of other clubs continuing to play players in similar situations until their hand is forced |  |
