We’re not that wealthy. Many clubs have billion dollar owners, Barnsley’s owners are worth over 9bn for example, we are tied to financial rules, look at Newcastle’s relative struggles with owners worth nearly US1Tn.
I don’t think we are that attractive an option for an established manager, we have great training facilities now (or will have) and certainly some players with potential but realistically our squad is at best 18th currently in the division, and £180M is going to have to be spent wisely to bolster that squad.
I think the GON is as safe a pair of hands to steady the post McKenna ship and with the right support and investment could do us very well. |  | | |

But thats where an elite chairman earns his corn
Is that the issue? No not ashton himself but more hes the most senior at the club and its not elite in experience. Or are we looking for a manager who knows his place. MA does talk about culture interviews.
Its their job to sell the club. The ambition the aim. To come up with that manager you either sit back and go wow or who rather than really?
Are we restricted because we are paying KM until he gets another job?
I dunno. I just cant believe that a side with so much ambition. So much going for it. 3 promotions in 4 etc. Comes down to those two candidates. [Post edited 19 Jun 19:02]
