BT won't want the replay 15:19 - Jan 8 with 2979 viewsThe_Romford_Blue

As they are showing Lincoln twice that week already in the league

Unless Liverpool score in injury time, that'll be the beebs pick

Great. Humiliation on a nationwide level then, not just some back-street channel.

Edit: Plymouth v Liverpool is nailed on by the looks of it.

Who gets first pick? BT or BBC?

I don't think they will care about that. If they think the game is a good pick they'll pick it. If they get first choice though they will pick Liverpool and the BBC have a major hard on for all Prem games so as uninspiring as Burnley/Sunderland is they will probably choose that.

Beeb so they'll chose this game

Us and Lincoln won't be on BT unless bt are willing to have Lincoln on 3 times in 7 days

I think you'll find I guaranteed if there was no draws today

Unfortunately Liverpool just drew with Plymouth

You said that once. Then you kept saying "we will be on for sure"

Doesn't matter, but we were unlucky to be on anyway I would imagine. They love premier league teams (plus Leeds). Unfortunately we aren't one.

There's no way the BBC will pick us, not after last seasons bore-fest.

What if our replay is on the Tuesday and Plymouth/Liverpool is Wednesday, or Tuesday and ours is on Wednesday?

Liverpool play Man Utd next Sunday so their Plymouth replay is very likely to be played on Wednesday.

That leaves Tuesday as a chance to show our game on telly.

BT and BBC will be having boners over any potential upsets. Plymouth vs Liverpool and Lincoln vs Ipswich are high on that list.

Confirmed replays:
Sunderland v Burnley
Barnsley v Blackpool
Wimbledon v Sutton
Southampton v Norwich
Plymouth v Liverpool
Fleetwood v Bristol City
Crystal Palace v Bolton
Lincoln v Ipswich
Newcastle v Birmingham

Plus maybe Leeds v Cambridge. It looks like Spurs will beat Villa. It's really between our game and Fleetwood v Bristol City for the second match; as both us and Lincoln have more history and the gap between the two is larger I think they'd lean towards us. It'll be interesting to see if they can resist Leeds should their match end in a draw tomorrow.

Fox Sports televised a whole chunk of FA Cup live games over the weekend.
I imagine, there's a pretty good opportunity to show our game.

There should be a live stream floating around.

Who has confirmed 2? They had more than that for the 2nd round didn't they.

They'll pick where they expect there will be an upset, so we'll be high up there. Nothing the UK viewing public likes any more than humiliation

Why does it make any difference? They regularly have Liveprool/United etc on three times in 8 days. I realise Lincoln aren't on the same level but I assume two of those games are Conference games so I don't see what difference it makes.

I'd say it's two from four out of:

Sunderland v Burnley
Southampton v Norwich
Plymouth v Liverpool
Lincoln v Ipswich

Plymouth vs Liverpool is nailed on.
I'd guess the second game will be us if BT Sport get the second pick or Sunderland vs Burnley if it's BBC as they get a major hard on for all Prem ties.

Truly impaired.

If you look carefully J2 at the BT premier league fixtures, even though they only have 1 a week, they are massively more diverse than the BBC and Sky with their league picks. Most of the big boys have only played 2 or three on BT this year and never two in a row

If BT are fine with three Lincoln games, we are the second game I reckon

I'm sure i've been watching a Man U game and they've advertised the EL game midweek and a game the following weekend.

Same with Liverpool. They've advertised them for the following week a couple of times. I don't think it will make any difference. If anything they could leave their equipment there for the following game?

The more I think about it the less confident I am we'll be chosen. I hope we are. Being an armchair fan is hard when we aren't televised!

I guess there's an argument that three games at Lincoln in a week could well sway BT in favour of choosing our replay? I imagine they'd planned on leaving the kit up there between the two matches, so why not make use of it whilst it's there?

The second game is away at Barrow.

Their televised home game is on Friday 20th meaning the first game is very likely to be on Tuesday 17th. Liverpool game is currently on the Wednesday. I guess it depends who has first pick and if they each have a designated day to televise.

As I understand it the BBC has the first pick and they'd prefer a Wednesday replay if possible.
