Good to have Quaner in and as it stands we have enough about us to beat Rotherham on Saturday but let's hope we can move onto Pilkington #2 quickly. It won't be easy as he is tall and physically capable which presumably Lambert likes, aren't too many more of them. | |

I think this has a whole lot to do with money.
Put yourself in Pilkington's position.
30 year old comi g to the end of a contract with no chance of a new one from Cardiff.
Your choice is to go to a club very likely to be relegated of one that will probably stay up.
That will have a huge impact on the money that can be offered to him, the length of the contract and the division the player will be playing in as he nears the end of his playing career.
The only way we can get this player is to make a much bigger offer and for it to have a longer time frame ( say 2 even 3 years) than whats on offer elsewhere.
This could be what was behind PL's comments about backing at the weekend. |  | | |
