Part of me doesn't want to put a few wins together because the hope could kill us but who knows what will happen to relegation and promotions if a few teams cease to exist in the summer. Could we get a reprieve?

No.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

We could win all of our remaining games but we will probably still be relegated. But what it will mean is that a culture of winning is slowly being installed into the team which can only be a good thing for next season.

We should aim to win as many games, score as many goals and finish as high as... on 11:38 - Apr 8 with 2708 viewsunstableblue

... possible.

Build back some pride, have confidence into the new season, get our youth and experience gelling and knowing how each other play.

Finishing above Bolton would be a boost.

Plus I'd love to beat Leeds on the last day. That would set us up nicely.

hopefully they are not made of plastic......

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

We need to win all 6 games to have a 54% chance of staying up.

There is currently 1 point between 21st and 22nd so realistically even to finish 3rd bottom we need to almost win out this season - it's not going to happen.

On the positive side, in the highly unlikely event that we did get in amongst those teams, there's a fair chance we could actually attain safety. There's only two points separating 19th from 22nd.

Easier just to accept that we are down.

6 wins gives us a 54% chance of staying up

5W and 1D and it is 14% chance

5W and 1L and it is a 5% chance

So it really is win every game and hope.

On a depressing side, if Norwich win just 2 of their final 6 games (and lose the rest) they still have a 95% chance of going up!

Can't even plan what grounds I'd like to visit in L1 as pretty much everyone is involved in play off or relegation battle.

well... er... no on 12:15 - Apr 8 with 2522 viewsDyland

BUT...

Win the next four "beatable" teams and with none of the others playing each other it's possible we could be one point off two of them and two off another, with two to play.

There is nothing to suggest we can hit that kind of form though, so it's done I'm afraid, even if the other four or five duff teams contrived to pick up no more points between them (which would be even more wildly weird than ITFC winning the last six).

Altho there are so many variable factors that it is diffcult to be that precise.

The bottom five teams have started to pick up points significantly faster than the four above them (average 1.23ppg vs 0.54ppg over the last six). Is this a blip, or a crisis among those just above the zone?

Not sure that will help us much, we're simply too far behind. But could considerably change the complexion of the lower third of the table.

I'd be quite happy if we strung a few wins together. We're not staying up so we may as well go down in style. It'd be quite nice to go into the summer with more confidence too.
