Lambert is a much better manager than both Keane and Hurst, and probably Jewell. Which isn't hard, as my nan is a better manager than those 3.

He's marginally better than Hurst but not convinced he's better than any of the others.

Roy Keane half destroyed the club, how can anyone rate him in any way shape or form?

Biggest problems with Evans is he isn’t a ‘football’ person and relies and puts too much trust in his consultants/advisors i.e. Harry Redknapp.

He is always looking for short-cuts and cheapest solutions (in all of his businesses). You can get away with this when you offer up a plate of cheese/pineapple chunks on cocktail sticks instead of glazed figs topped with mascarpone and wrapped with prosciutto, but not when you’re trying to enhance the defensive structure of a football team.

He is also very slow at reacting to depreciating situations.

But he did have players like McAuley, Walters, Norris, Wickham, Stead, I.e decent championship players.

He contributed to it, even years later, all that lost revenue in players he either sold cheap or forced out.

Think it's a bit of a stretch to say our plight in 2020 is down to a manager we sacked nearly a decade ago.

I went to the first shareholders AGM once he had taken over. What struck me given the business he is supposedly the world leader in was there was no light refreshments offered before or during the event. Yes, a free beer was offered at the end which I expect the vast majority were driving so like me didn't take up the freebie.

Very strange oversight (or perhaps deliberate?) and didn't leave me with a very great first impression.

You honestly believe this drivel?

The difference in resources is massive and Keane and Hurst are major factors in.where we are. MM top is the.only thing right here.

It did surprise me initially, considering it’s a specialist industry for him.

But you only have to look at the relatively poor food services on match day to realise he isn’t that bothered as there are no other options/competition inside the ground. Like it or lump it, so to speak.

I think there's a lot of revisionism regarding Jim's time in charge. At the time we were one of the Championship's richest clubs - the division has moved on a very long way in subsequent years - and at the point the decision was made to sack him we were 12 points off the play-offs with relationships strained on a number of fronts.

Although the campaign in some sections of the media - and support - was deeply unpleasant and wholly disrespectful given his achievements with the club, the time had come for a change. The following appointment was clearly the wrong one, however.

True. He has to be second best though, almost by default.

What is this thing about biscuits? I always got on well with him - I'd like to think I still do - he certainly didn't help himself with things like excluding us from press conferences but I was far from involved in the witch hunt as you seem to imply, indeed I condemned it at the time.

It's difficult because I'd say Jim and Roy were the ones who failed to take the opportunity to get promoted as Evans splashed the cash post-takeover. By the time Paul Jewell took over there wasn't so much money to spend and we weren't such big players in the division.

If he’s relying on the likes of dinosaurs ‘Arry and Warnock for input, then no wonder we’re effed.
