So these street parties yesterday... 12:46 - May 9 with 2036 viewsSpruceMoose

How many of them were set up like several of the parties I've seen posted online by people I know?

Picture the scene. Party is in a close or a cul-de-sac, everyone is being good by sitting in their own front gardens with their own families... But there is one communal table which everyone is going to to go pick up food, cutlery, drinks, napkins etc. Added to this, tennis balls/footballs are being kicked and thrown between people in the gardens.

Am I wrong to think that this is pushing the limits of how you're supposed to behave?

Went to the neighbours behind ours yesterday evening, 3 couples in total, they have a communal drive. We took our own chairs, food, cutlery etc, had a bloody good night and got royally pissed while practicing the social distancing advice.
Vera Lynn sounded somewhat fuzzy by the end of the evening and I have discovered that I know all the words to roll out the barrel.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

There is no greater way to pay tribute to those who lived through the war than to help spread a disease that’s killing huge numbers of their generation.

Whilst using it as an excuse to get pissed in the sun.

English people are totally mad.

Yes thought exactly that on the new last night.

Why is there not more made of this? Same with the NHS clap for carers, as soon as the TV camera's show up all social distancing goes out of the window. People standing side by side without a care in the world signing a song?

I don't get why the media/news channels are completely ignoring it, yet someone in a park is all over the front pages/news headlines?

The BBC said their tea party was filmed with obedience to social distancing.

All I can say is some of those performers must be jolly good at doing their own hair and make up.

It's totally disregarding the limits but people don't care or think they know better.

I've been saying for about 10 days now that the lockdown is slipping in London.

Hackney police confirming it now and not pleased:

"Hackney police tweeted: “Sadly we’re fighting a losing battle in the parks today. Literally hundreds of people sitting having pizza, beers, wines. As always a big thank you to those that are observing the guidelines.”

Isn't it annoying when somebody keeps posting things about you that either aren't true, or at best, have been turned into something to beat you with. Think back to a year or so ago and you might see what I mean. Maybe learn from it Yankie Boy.

I'm not annoyed. If you want to carry on making yourself look like an intellectual inadequate that's up to you. So don't get in a Pickles, Pecker.

The most dangerous time will be when lockdown is relaxed and for the few weeks that follow (unless we really are on top of things to the point that there will be no significant second peak.

Only this afternoon I was told by a local shop manager that it's man-made and not as bad as flu anyway...

For some, nothing has changed.

Germany’s rate of infection is already going back up after their loosening of lockdown.

Now at 1.1, which is very bad news

I feel like I should understand what 'Oooops! Was ist denn da los?' means even though I don't speak a word of German!

Easing of restrictions is going to be challenging for sure.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?
