Just seen on instagram a post where fans have voted to show who their club's biggest rivals are.
For us it is apparently: Norwich (81%), Colchester (57%), West Ham (43%), Southend (33%), Cambridge (19%).
I'm surprised to see Cambridge in there and I thought Sheffield Utd or Peterborough may challenge although the 'Blunts' rivalry may have died away a bit since its heydays against Warnock's side.
For other clubs that have us as a rival:
Norwich - We're 1st (70%)
Southend - We're 4th (44%) (behind Colchester, Orient and Gillingham)
Colchester - We're 2nd (71%), behind Southend

It always interests me to hear about the complete random temporary rivalry that turns up for a few years, like as the OP said, us and Sheffield United, although you could have probably added Bolton to that list as well.
I know for some years Wolves and the Budgies did not get on at all after the Muscat/Bellamy(?) tackle, and am I right in saying that for some years Watford hated our guts, and we never found out why? It was most odd, I seem to recall, I mean I don't know if Trevor Whymark said publicly he hated Goodbye Yellow Brick Road or something, but all very strange.... |  | | |
