I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

"emotional trauma"?! - SMH.

I watched Panorama last night about "the forgotten front line" - I wept multiple times at people who were clearly suffering sincere and profound emotional trauma, just because they were trying to do their job and help look after people.

I know the article is designed to make me mad at these couple of wet wipes, but it's worked, arseholes.

I knew NI was a backwards theocracy run by fundamentalists but I didn't realise that they'd actually banned you from dressing baby girls in blue.

Gender reveal parties.
Another load of bollox from across the pond that we’ve lapped up.
I’m like, go figure!

All a bit weird. Happy the baby is healthy but flooded with grief because it's not a boy.

Basically an attempt to get someone to buy them some clothes because they rushed out and bought 500 quids worth of blue clothes (although I don't think there is a law against girls wearing blue).

My main objection to them is that getting sh1tfaced at them appears to be discouraged. I'm all for feeble excuses for parties in general.

Fair play to the reporter there.

That’s a lot of column inches, and not a single exciting Fire Engine in the story.

EADT really need to up their game.

Aye, you're not wrong. I'm glad we didn't know what gender we were having until they arrived, firstly it stopped the missus spending silly amounts and secondly it ensured that there would be no daft "reveal"

That being said, I'm lucky that my wife has her head screwed on, she didn't even want a baby shower because she felt it was a bit "look at me"

On another note, I assume this is an American thing that we now do, my sister informed me of "cake smash" events, where people take their baby to a photographer specifically for them to smash an entire cake and have photos taken.
I was informed that this was a thing over two weeks ago, I'm still not over it.
If any of you TWTD have done this, shame.

The most offensive thing about this is the wanton cake abuse.

Well, if you want to break open the Prosecco and fire up the vol-au-vents, today is

- The saint's day for Waltheof of Melrose
- John Eisenhower's birthday (son of Dwight D, and former US ambassador to Belgium)
- And a public holiday in Guinea-Bissau for the anniversary of the killing of Pidjiguiti.

So, take your pick. Something for everybody.

Shunned the NHS and went private.
Would a 'Privatise the NHS' Tory like to explain that.
