Tomorrow Morning 20:44 - Oct 24 with 2364 views | Jambo | .... Imagine if you will that Marcus Evans waked up tomorrow and realises that PL needs to go immediately. Who out of the readily available or realistic managerial candidates does he go for. Because frankly, everything seems a bit poo as an option!?

Tomorrow Morning on 20:56 - Oct 24 with 2303 views | itfcjoe | Paul Cook, Danny Cowley or Lee Johnson All would be a step up. But if ME has given PL a chance to start the season then he isn’t going to sack him when we are getting 2 points a game and siting 4th

We'll likely limp through to the end of November, getting enough from our 3 winnable games to stay in touch with the top 6, then he'll get a stay of execution when we barely win a game in December on account of the hard run of games that apparently we may as well write off now. By which time we'll be in "might as well give him the rest of the season" territory.

The longer he leaves it, the harder it will be for the new guy to salvage our season.

Good call - hadn’t considered him though I think he’ll get a job in the Championship; same as Paul Cook. The Cowley’s did well at Lincoln and didn’t disgrace themselves at Huddersfield but I think their football is more safety first though we’re reaching a point where we just need something to click. At Bristol City, Lee Johnson had a habit of getting into losing streaks he couldn’t pull them out of.

The only thing is if Howe sees us as a place where he can build a project - that’s the only reason he’d come. In truth we’d probably get Simon Grayson. [Post edited 25 Oct 2020 9:47]

I would start going to church if we could get a manager Like Howe. Miracles don't really happen you know. Howe will get Championship at worst. Have you been in a cave for the last 20 years?

Sorry Joe but all those names make me think of Mick and I guess it would be 2 bad results and all hell will break out on this forum again. The' keyboard coaches' on here know better than the experts. This lot wanted Hurst and look how that ended.

Lambert reminds me of how Pardew was at Newcastle. He headbutted Dave Meyler yet our owner still kept him in the job until he resigned himself in December 2014 to join Crystal Palace. This man has presided over a collapse in form before the pandemic and I still believe that he would have been sacked if it not weren't for the aforementioned outbreak of the virus. I do not think Paul Lambert shall be allowed to remain as manager of Ipswich should they miss out on promotion.

We are a League One club without a pot to p*ss in, there really isn’t a hope in hells chance that Howe is our next manager Anyone thinking there is even the slightest possibility really needs to get a grip
