Is it really that important that the team is "leaked" less than 24 hours before a match?

It is probably more disruptive for the opposition manager to make changes to a formation and squad they've presumably been practicing with for the rest of the week, based on a couple of player changes here or there.

It's also a complete red herring. Since when have posts on social media been considered as 100% reliable?

The idea that a team maanager would be scouring a fan forum for reliable team information is laughable.

Lambert must scour the opposition fan’s forum if this is how his simple brain works.

It’s an excuse for wider issues, I’d assume.

Perhaps the general Lambert negativity on the forum or maybe the realistic reports/critiques from the main features, which the club have no real control over.

Either way, it shows them up as being unprofessional and childishly naive if they thought such a responsive move would improve the situation.

It's an obvious annoyance for PL that information is shared publicly and that's fair enough. The reaction to it is a sign of the general mood in the club at the moment and the pressure he is under.

The whole thing is ridiculous. As others have said, it's highly doubtful that opposition managers are scouring social media to see whether some random has def info on the line up. If they do see def info there's no way of knowing that it's reliable. Most sides know their own line up the day before the game and will have prepared as such, so any last minute changes will disrupt them as much as us. And for that game in particular we played the midfield three that started most of our opening games, our regular back four minus the injured Ward (whose injury was known in advance) and the only real change was Lankester starting. So one chsnge to one of our wide forwards. Even if we accept that Lincoln were on TWTD and that they believed the def info - both unlikely - then does anyone really think it made a difference?

As many have pointed out, you're never going to stop that info being leaked either. It's been going on for years, so why all this fuss now?

I'm still astonished they expected Phil to give them the personal information of the person who leaked it.

They asked Phil to literally break the law for them.

Baffling, isn't it? You know full well it's just a bullying tactic (towards Phil, and the poster if Phil had given the information).

I cannot wait for the day these melts leave our club.

If Gibbs and Cornell hadn't been leaked, we'd have won 5-0 on Saturday. Def info.

Because now people are starting to see the truth about this ugly regime and the club wants it silenced as quickly as possible.

It's also a sign of how rubbish we are that we even care that the opposition know our team in advance.

Play to our strengths and let them worry about it, otherwise hard to say anything other than we are in the league we should be in as we are worried about the opposition.

International Rugby announce their sides 2/3 days before the match, Premiership Rugby do it 24 hours before. Honestly what difference does it make? We'd be better off announcing on Thursdays then make late changes!
