Anyone fancy an IP postcode related quiz? 16:23 - Dec 7 with 2532 views | clive_baker | Got some data in front of me so here's a question (or 3). 1) The IP postcode area covers most of Suffolk (including Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Aldeburgh, Brandon, Eye, Felixstowe, Halesworth, Leiston, Saxmundham, Southwold, Stowmarket and Woodbridge), plus southern Norfolk (including Thetford, Diss and Harleston) and a very small part of Cambridgeshire. Question: How many different districts is IP split into? So IP1 to ??? 2) Which districts has the most amount of inhabitants? Forget density, just absolute numbers. A clue, there are 2 just shy of 40,000. 3) Which district is the most Easterly No cheating nerds.

Anyone fancy an IP postcode related quiz? on 16:35 - Dec 7 with 1365 views | Ewan_Oozami | At least 33 - Bury is IP33 - can't think of any higher IP5 and IP12? One of the high IP20s (Thetford is IP26) Edit: Read the question properly, Ewan [Post edited 7 Dec 2020 18:42]

Anyone fancy an IP postcode related quiz? on 16:37 - Dec 7 with 1363 views | itfcjoe | 1 - IP24 is Thetford, IP28 is Bury, think I've seen an IP33 but don't think each number is filled 2 - Would guess Felixstowe is one so IP11, maybe IP5 as is quite a big area 3 - Probably Southwold which I think is IP16 or 17

Bingo on Q1. 33. No correct guesses on Q2 so far. IP5 / Kesgrave was lower than I thought, c. 50% of the people in the highest district. IP12 slightly more (24,000) but still some way short.

One must be in Ipswich as IP1 to 4 basically covers 130k people and guess not split equally - I'll go IP1 as covers a lot of town centre then all the way round Thurleston and Westbourne

If IP1 covers Chantry then that has to be the highest.

I thought the density remark hinted that it wouldn't be in Ipswich itself, more like a large, rural catchment.

Aye, I went IP1 and IP4. Both stretch from the town centre out to the edge of town. Got to be those two. IP2 is a lot of semi detached houses. Doesn't have too many flats or terraces.

IP33 is Bury, Moreton Hall housing estate is IP32. I think IP28 is more towards Mildenhall.

If it isn't Felixstowe or Bury I don't think there's a big enough town to top Ipswich postcodes.

Lowestoft can go fook themselves. Bunch weird oil riggers, unemployed fishermen and Norwich fans.

Parts of Belstead were IP2, where Belstead Special School was is an IP2 area - showing my age here......but guess Belstead village must be IP8? What was Belstead effectively changed when Pinewood grew

IP4? I'd have thought Bury was around the 40,000 figure. I've lived in Bury IP32 and IP33. Also a few miles out at IP29. Ipswich and Bury for most inhabitants but Bury is split so I dunno which one. I don't know how many Ipswich is split into.
