Absolute top bloke, will miss his laugh and beaming smile at PR. (Was normally in the concourse after 25 minutes)

Thoughts to Gary and his family.

Shocking news, didn’t really know him but as soon as saw his face recognised him and have definitely shared a few conversations with him. Condolences to his family, horrible news

Didn't he used to knock around with Kempy late 70's/80's?

Terrible news and so young.

I remember having a few beers with him on a few occasions many years ago when we were both in our late teens (we had mutual friends). A really decent bloke.

I think he died a year or two before Kempy.

Names that I'm now remember hearing. Were they the group that used to meet up pre game in the pubs along Norwich Rd. I ask that as the first friend that came out to Florida for a visit was a young guy, Pegsy, who I'm sure was a good friend with those guys. Sadly he passed at a youngish age!

What was his name please? My dad drank with Kempy in the 70s 80s so should know him. Doesn't have this or social media so can give him a heads up.

I only know this from speaking to a (close) mate of his yesterday, he had contracted covid around a 10/12 days ago, but was on the mend, then a complication resulted in a blood clot developing and then he sadly suffered a heart attack.

Thanks for the kind words for both the Father who passed in 2011 and for my brother. It's no exaggeration to say in dealing with the loss of our Dad we were more than brothers, best friends.

I truly appreciate anyone who has reached out or left kind words either here, Twitter or Facebook. Genuinely means lot to see how universally loved he was.

Really sorry for your loss, mate. I didn't know him myself not having lived in the town but from what people are saying it sounds like he was a top bloke. Thoughts are with you and your family.

Best wishes to you.

I don't know you or your brother but I used to knock about with your dad Paul a lot in the early 80's, I sort of lived with him on and off for bit at one point in St Georges St with Metal Mickey. I was also with him when he met your mum and I'm thinking it may have been Christmas Eve 1982 in either The Cock and Pye or The Coach and Horses - but memory fades.

Actually Paul did introduce me to you or your brother in the 90's under the Pioneer Stand but I think you / him were going through a Man U stage?

When I first saw the post I thought it was an old post bumped up from years back and couldn't believe it when I read further and realised it was his son.

Terrible times, I cannot start to think what you are going through.

Sincere condolences and best wishes at this terrible time.

That would have been Jamie in the Man Utd stage, everyone makes mistakes! The Father got me into Town straight away!

Genuinely appreciate it, complete shock
