When the worst manager in our history finally goes, will this be the happiest*.. 15:28 - Jan 27 with 956 viewsSwailsey

the board has been since 2000?

* A strange happiness granted, but I will take the wins where I can.

Imagine the scenes on here when he goes! I honestly think it will brighten my days for a month or so.

It will brighten your days for about two days...then the reports will start. TWTD understands Glen Roeder has been interviewed. Gary Megson seen buying a can of Dr Pepper at Martlesham Tesco. Then, finally, Phil Parkinson Appointed Ipswich Manager.

I don't think the board will ever be as united as it is now.

Once Lambert goes, then divisions will spring up about the incoming tiller holder.

I have the sad feeling that changing our manager will be like asking the titanic band to play a request.

I think we have simply forgotten what life under a competent manager looks like.

Nope, we will still be in the third division and owned by a largely uninterested and incompetent owner. Lambert is the most immediate problem at the club but he's certainly not the only, or even the biggest, one.

Have you been paying attention to Evans’ record appointing managers? Every one with one notable exception has made us worse.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Relieved but not happy. The is one thing worse than Evans' ability to fire an ineffective manger, and that is to hire a better replacement. MM is the only one he's made the correct call on so far.

It will be great until the fact sinks it not a dot will have changed under Evans anyway.

No, i don't think so.

Because as a club we are still fundamentally rotten and in decline. Changing a manager isn't going to change that, as has been seen multiple times since 2009.

l'll be relived Lambert is gone, but still far from happy with the current regime and position of the club. Even with new management I fear we are still on a downward spiral as a club.
