What? As a free he was excellent value for a number of years. Wrongly maligned imo. It's a bit like Dozzell these days. Skuse used to do a lot of the hard work that goes unnoticed. Someone has to do it. |  |

Yeah, it was a 'bosman free', but I think at the time you had to pay compensation for players under the age of 24 (including international transfers).
