No excuses of not having an off field structure now is there! 15:05 - May 24 with 2081 viewsVic

Regardless of what we feel about the experience or lack of it, of some of the staff appointed, it’s a very impressive array of support staff for the team when we eventually sign the players.

Poll: Right now, who would you rather have as Prime Minister?

Sign the players? They *are* the players!!

Was drafting up earlier just to try and get some sense of structure, and it is so refreshing to see.

Owners - Detmer/Johnson/Bekay/ORG Capital

CEO - Mark Ashton
Head.of.Football Operations - Luke Werhun / D.of.Performance - Andy Rolls / Head.of.Sports & Medicine - Andy Costin

Manager - Paul Cook
Coaches - Franny Jeffers, Gary Roberts, Ian Craney
Fitness Coach - Jon Ashton
Physio - Matt Byard

Academy headed by Bryan Klug.

I would imagine head of recruitment with GK coach are final pieces.

What other side Jobs would you like to see filled or better recruited for.

For me. It's the website management for example. A terrible site which is badly neglected at times.

Think if anything we now have too much structure. One extreme to the other.

So we are just missing an assistant manager now? Keeper coach?

Do we not have scouts anymore or is that Ashton’s job?

I wonder if PC will keep it free. Use Dyer to begin with in an u23 role but unofficial AM incase Leam has a bad start at Wigan.

It's a championship club structure for sure. There wont be many clubs in league 1 with a structure as big as this seems to be

'Made up role' aka roles that virtually every decent sized club in the country have.

O'Leary as Chairman as well, although I'm not sure what he'll actively be doing really.

Looking back he said he will have a non exec role. We will see him maybe at the club couple times a week.. more to oversee what Ashton is doing and report back to the 3 lions.

Not sure there's going to be an assistant manager. There will be a head of recruitment, Scott Barron from what I was told a while back, and further staff working with him, I believe. Keeper-coach reportedly going to be John Keeley.

I don't know who handles the website for a football club (imagine it is subcontracted out), but I'm fairly certain somebody won't come in for that job specifically.

No true. Just hope someone does look at it and make it more of a priority than it is currently.

Having old coach profiles under new coaches etc shouldn't happen.

I agree. I think it’s fundamental to the future of the football club too. Amateur night with people running round trying to cover several jobs as Chambers indicated seems to be over. I’d love to see Simon Milton taken back on in a liaison role he clearly enjoyed and did well too.

All we need is a team! Reading the EADT article today, there will be a lot of pressure on Cook to succeed. I think and hope he’s good enough. Mediocrity is no longer the objective. I’m not quite sure if I’m excited or worried tbh. Yeah, excited.

As for the Chairman, Ashton will report to him and he’ll presumably chair board meetings/report to Gamechanger.
