You’d love Rusholme after midnight. Mainly cos it’s seedy, but also prime hours for a mystery meat curry
As very new students back in 1973 three or four of us went into a pub in Rusholme. We very slowly backed out, never to return, when everybody stopped to stare at us. They were all Irish. The jukebox selection consisted entirely of republican songs.

Which end of rusholme was that on? Not many proper pubs there now. In fact the whole Oxford rd corridor has changed beyond measure in the last few years.

Taking a quick look at Google street view, I'd say it's the building that's now the Ta-Mya by Pasha restaurant. I was in Hulme Hall halls of residence for my first year.
