So.. as a fan. What do you see is the missing piece to the jigsaw 14:26 - Feb 2 with 1354 views | FrimleyBlue | We can go by results. Stats. Player turnarounds and we get to the same place. A side who plays good football but in a large number of games struggles to really threaten in the final third. We went from the likes of Judge. Sears etc to the likes of Bonne. Celina. Chaplin. Burns etc and we find ourselves at a similar crossroad. What takes us up a level.. something that puts us up the top end and keeps us there. What gives us that 3rd winning game let alone a run of 5 6 7 wins on the bounce. I think Pcs time has made it to difficult for us to finish top 6. 4 wins in 6 ( or 5? ) had been Great, but we are 9 points away rather than 11. So only 2 points gained on play offs after all that effort. So I just can't see us being able to do enough. So we look at summer. What makes us a top 2 side for the season of 22/23, not one upto Xmas again like Lambert. Not one like PC who doesn't win for a month or two. But one that goes the season up there. What is stopping us threatening in that final 3rd? Is it opponents. Is it confidence. Are these players good but not as good as others despite being a level up on Lambert squad. What do you think we need?

So.. as a fan. What do you see is the missing piece to the jigsaw on 14:29 - Feb 2 with 1318 views | J2BLUE | Now? Time and patience. Let McKenna build something. We now have the correct owners and what, based on early signs, looks the correct manager. I know we've been through a lot of sh1t and find it hard to believe it's coming to an end but it really could be. We just need to be patient. Oh and stop listening to toxic outside influences on people who join the club whether they are on field or off field.

So.. as a fan. What do you see is the missing piece to the jigsaw on 14:31 - Feb 2 with 1296 views | Kieran_Knows | I still think in the long run McKenna will move away from 3-4-3, no basis to that, just a hunch. I think in terms of summer recruitment, we could be looking at the following leaving; Holy Pigott Norwood Bonne (loan return) Jackson Thompson (loan return) Aluko Carroll Burgess Celina (loan return) In terms of incomings, I'd hazard a guess at; Right back Centre back Left back Centre mid No.10 position Striker Amazing that after 19 changes last summer, we could be seeing another 10+ or so this summer. I suspect our recruitment will revolve a lot around nabbing players from Prem academies (have heard that is something Gary Probert has been tasked with since his arrival), using McKenna's contacts.

OK. Thanks for contributing, not sure it provides a missing piece to the jigsaw but thanks anyway.

So.. as a fan. What do you see is the missing piece to the jigsaw on 15:20 - Feb 2 with 1084 views | Bobbychase | Time and consistency. We played like Barca against Gillingham (I know they are sh*te but we still pinged the ball around beautifully) and then looked toothless against Sheff Wed. In the Royle and Burley eras we always felt we were in a game, even if we were 2-0 down. Now we sometimes feel like we are in a game, some weeks not. And time. I saw a Tweet that sent a shiver down my spine the other day, something along the lines of "McKenna has won four from six, so he's still got my support for now." FOR NOW? We have to get out of the mindset of thinking the solution to everything is changing the manager every few months. We've got resources behind us, a decent CEO and a highly-rated young coach. The best way to get back to where we want to be is to let this project play out.

So.. as a fan. What do you see is the missing piece to the jigsaw on 15:25 - Feb 2 with 1070 views | jayessess | I think it's collective rather than individual. We need to be a bit more switched on defensively, especially when we turn over possession unexpectedly. We need our attacking players to be a bit braver and more composed when we're chasing a game. Some days we need to find ways of putting pressure on the opposition, even when they're finding ways to stop us playing the pretty stuff. I don't know if changing personnel will make a huge difference to any of that.

So.. as a fan. What do you see is the missing piece to the jigsaw on 15:34 - Feb 2 with 1045 views | Guthrum | Not to concede breakaway goals when the opposition has crafted their entire setup to nullify our style of play? To limit off-days like Bolton to a rarity? It's not like we are consistently failing to score goals. Bolton and SheffW are the only two we haven't since McKenna arrived. In three of the four others, we've scored 2+. Given only five teams have scored more goals than us this season, the 'struggles to really threaten in the final third' can be overstated.

To be fair, under Evans we were missing the entire jigsaw. It was just an empty box.

Thanks for sharing, with the Premier Academies, do you know if we are looking at loans or players that are about to be discarded, so that we can sign permanently?
So.. as a fan. What do you see is the missing piece to the jigsaw on 16:10 - Feb 2 with 914 views | usm | We need to tighten up and not concede many sloppy goals. Pick up a point away from home if we cant get 3, stay unbeaten for a period. I'm thinking of Sunderland away, Bolton away Sheff Weds away, Plymouth away - we should have at least drawn those games. That would put us better off from a points perspective, but more importantly confidence and belief would be much higher.

Bit of both I think. You see with clubs like Chelsea who have a load of 22/23 lads who have been out on loan for a number of years and it just gets to a point where they need to get out and settle at a club permanently, so suspect that's the kind of 'academy/under 23' players we'd be looking at, plus a few younger top talents on loan.

I hope as many of your potential returnees as possible are retained, bar Jackson and Holy and the team and structure of the club given time to bed down properly. I was in the minority of people in being pleased the transfer window was light in terms of players coming in. With regard to new players, any loanees that don’t become permanent will need replacing. I’d be interested to know what the structure looks like and what changes are intended including recruitment processes because if these are robust enough (and I think we are heading that way), promotion will come. We may even sail through the Championship Southampton style.
So.. as a fan. What do you see is the missing piece to the jigsaw on 18:29 - Feb 2 with 708 views | Vic | Stability and time. The basics seem to be in place - decent manager, the decent squad and finances to incrementally develop it each window, decent owners, a developing structure within the club and a CEO who understands football. If we can’t make it work with all that then we really are hexed!

I see myself more as a sufferer; a long time abused. Just team togetherness and the details in training for me. I think the team is good enough to do a lot better. What happens with Bonne and Celina in the summer will have a big bearing on next year, so we need to get that right. Be it somehow signing them (unlikely) or excellent recruitment.
