I seem to remember 10 Embassy Number 1 were 67p in the mid 80s.
I stopped smoking roughly 12 years ago and know how anti-social it is now and can understand it. But it fashionable then, almost everyone smoked. Weird really, looking back.

Sorry to question your maths Hypey but when I went to grammar school your equation equated to 60p a fag - which thinking about it was about the price of a pack back then.
I think one of the reasons I continue to smoke is purely to annoy people, I don't know why but I genuinely get a buzz when people look at me with disgust, although that of course may not be the smoking. I roll my own, no way could I justify the amount of money it takes to smoke taylors. I reckon I get through a pouch a week which is about £25 I think and I smoke like a b@stard.
We have a guy who has just started working for us and he is technically homeless, he has a flat type of thing but he is monitored, if he isn't home by 11pm he basically gets the boot. Strange system if you ask me but there you go. I feel a bit sorry for him which is probably one of the reasons I keep giving him work, I don't like to get involved but it seems he has made some wrong turns and............
What the feck am I talking about, I've digressed. Anyhoo - matey smokes Bensons - how the hell can he afford it at £12 a pack? Maybe that's why he got sacked from his last job for nicking from the till! |  |
