Football quiz question on 21:43 - Aug 14 with 1441 views | ArnoldMoorhen | So it's going to need to be a club that has been in each of the top 4 divisions for 20+ years each. So a club that is a minimum of 80 years old. A clue can be found in the fact that Ipswich haven't been in the Fourth tier. So probably a team that were near the top towards the beginning of the League structure. Have Preston spent much time in the Fourth tier? Or Huddersfield? Looking at the League Table for 1928-9 (a random fairly early year) I would say that Bury are the most likely: "1928—29 Football League - Wikipedia" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1928%E2%80%9329_Football_League

Don't think Bury spent enough years in top tier.

On the subject of Stoke, they were one of the founder members of the Football League. They lost their first match 0-2, and since then, their cumulative goal difference has always been in the minus figures.

Great question! Love this sort of stuff. And also the fact that accumulatively Stoke have always had a minus goal difference!
