Lucky git.
We're still going up to Leeds for the weekend, but apparantly alternative plans are in place after the festival was cancelled and my suggestion of heading over to Hillsborough went down like a fart in a spacesuit.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

You've been putting some serious groundwork on making this happen or you've burnt your brownie points for the next 3 years.

Anyway, nice.

Green light or amber gambler?

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Yeah we are still going down on Friday morning as we had booked a lovely hotel. Trevor Nelson is playing in a bar on a Friday night so we are going to that.

I booked 2 tickets to the game after the festival was called off but didn’t say anything. Dropped it into the conversation a couple of times and suggested that she could go to the spa whilst I was at the game, and she didn’t dismiss it out of hand.

Then she booked a craft beer tour around Leeds for Saturday lunchtime and was open to going to the game afterwards but the timing wasn’t working for us. Then she realised the beer tour was 4 hours long and was worried about being sh1t faced before we were due to go out on the Saturday night, so in the end the stars aligned and we are both going to Hillsborough.

However, it is in the condition that I perform a forfeit. If it’s pegging then I’ll give the game a miss thanks.

So even if it is pegging, at least you get to take her in the away end as well?

Have you had chance to inspect the his and hers matching anniversary shirts? Can the pegging option can be put back on the table if the shirts are completely unacceptable? I read somewhere recently that it can bring couples closer together....

Maybe being pegged but with the T-shirt dangling just in reach if I changed my mind.

I think screaming the word T shirt would definitely be the safe word. I'd be expecting champagne and a tramadol or 2 for supper as well

Yes, a joke in her part. To shame me at the football and make me look daft.

It’s called still having a laugh together even after 25 years.

I can't help but think the pegging may have been just as much if not more of a laugh

That's a great would you rather; 90 minutes of pegging or watching Roy Keane's 4 centre-halfs across the backline?

Feck! 90 minutes of either may be a tad extreme. Perhaps 15 minutes each way?
