Even Man City, with all their millions 16:53 - Nov 13 with 3215 views | Vic | Aren’t top and don’t win every game. Feels like we’re a 3rd division version of them at the moment. Really, really good team, but no divine right to win every game. We better get used to it a supporters!

Even Man City, with all their millions on 17:04 - Nov 13 with 2891 views | FromReuserWithLove | I don't think anyone believes we have a divine right, i think it's just pure frustration in not winning games where we have totally dominated possession and carved out numerous clear cut chances.
Even Man City, with all their millions on 17:28 - Nov 13 with 2818 views | BlueForYou | We need to be consistently beating these these teams 1-0 to 5-0. We are nowhere close to Manchester City, this is division three, please wake up! Goals win matches here & if we are as good as advertised that means plenty of them. Do MC give away the amount of soft goals we do? Long long way to go. Stupid comparison. [Post edited 13 Nov 2022 17:56]

Apologies, i took the meaning of 'divine right' as fans believing we just need to turn up and rollover these teams. I was saying that i don't think that in particular is the case rather a frustration coming away from games we have done enough to win many times over with one point or sometime nothing. Was term 'divine right' i had issue with but sorry to have missed the point.

Man City have dominated matches like we have done and lost and drawn them. They are second in their league. The comparison was a "League 1 version of".

It would be failure. Should McKenna go? Impossible to say about McKenna but right now it seem ludicrous to even be throwing it out there as a hypothetical.

Even Man City, with all their millions on 18:09 - Nov 13 with 2705 views | Illinoisblue | Brighton also would be a good comparison; pleasing on the eye, technically good, intelligent players but lacking devilment and nous to get results when dominating possession. Basically what we need to do is get a big nasty bastard like Shefki out of retirement.

It's such an unnecessary term. It's like there are no other teams trying to achieve the exact same thing as us.

Watching them try to get an equalizer earlier was like watching us trying to find a winner yesterday, albeit we had more half chances. Neither them or us ever really looked like scoring.

But Man City and other winners don’t continually throw away leads. Sheffield. Plymouth. Cheltenham. Charlton (twice throwing away two goal leads). Add Bolton and Barnsley to the list. It’s a concern or should be.

Arsenal have given Arteta time, and that seems to be working out. I'm not sure why anyone would be raising concerns about anything at this stage. [Post edited 13 Nov 2022 20:18]

We came from behind against Bolton to be fair.

No not really! Brighton are a tiny fish in a big pond. Man City are just about the biggest, highest spending fish. Yet even they are not top and have dropped points to teams no one expected them to. My point was that that is us! We are just about the biggest fish in our little pond, we’ve assembled a really good squad but just like Man City, we will drop points to teams we don’t expect to. We just need to stay calm, not panic when a few results don’t go our way. We’ll have a few hiccups on the way, but things being equal we will get there in the end!

(Almost completely )changing the subject, but Blackburn have now played 21 games and there hasn't been an equaliser in any of them.

Absolutely, although Brighton are somewhat overachieving to be 2nd in their league, especially with throwing away a few matches too.

Even Man City, with all their millions on 11:41 - Nov 14 with 1876 views | Darth_Koont | True. But I think we’ve missed a great opportunity over the past weeks to distance ourselves from third place. I still think we should go up as champions given our squad strength and our ceiling in terms of performances. But we will need to be much more ruthless at taking the points when they’re right in front of us.

Oh, without a doubt we’ve missed an opportunity. Plus Plymouth have come off it a bit compared to thier standards this season so weve missed a golden opportunity. But hey ho, we’re still second! I think it’s a case that however we’ll a team does, even if they’re Man City or Liverpool, if they don’t win every game or aren’t top of the league supporters are disappointed. Blimey, to think that even this time last season we were moaning that we were only mid table, and here we are now fretting that we’re not top and have drawn a couple of games! Bonkers!

The comparison is just that every team in every league no matter how good they are fails to win games that they should win from time to time. We drew with Cheltenham at home. Sheffield Wednesday beat them easily. Sheffield Wednesday drew with Bristol Rovers at home. We beat them easily. None of these results means anything in particular in isolation.

The difference between weather and climate albeit on much smaller scale. This season there is so much more good than bad.
