I wonder what Gamechanger are thinking? 14:04 - Jan 15 with 8085 viewsringwoodblue

There’s been so many positives since Gamechanger took over. No doubt, they will be thrilled at the support the team is getting with home attendances up significantly and shirt sales increasing but promotion is what they really need to start getting any return on their investment.

No one can help injuries and illness but do they think they are just excuses? Our form has not been great for quite a few months now so I’m wondering if Gamechanger are getting a little nervy or if they will remain very patient?

I still think we'll get top 2... But at very least we will be in the play offs, which means we are on track for promotion until the last ball is kicked. Should think Game Changer will be quite pleased with our progress. From mid table finish last season...Rumours are, they are adding ITFC, pants and knickers to our merch', because quite a few out there, keep 5hitting themselves, for no reason.

I've heard a rumour they're at breaking point and want to cut their losses and have offered the club to Marcus Evans for free

Let's look at the positives. If we don't get promotion this season, we'll have McKenna for more time.

Too much success, too soon and someone else will swoop in for him.

I expect they are, on the whole, extremely pleased with progress.

If we aren't promoted, they will be disappointed for sure but a way to go yet.

Chief Edgelord Officer surely? Although I believe it will be a close run thing between him and Chico.

I think they’ll be very happy with the progress since they took over both on and off the pitch:

- Attendance
- Playing style
- League position
- Feel good factor

This is KMs second transfer window and no doubt they’ll want promotion this year, which is obviously still a possibility. They, like us would prefer it if we had 10 more points on the board but I think they’ll be happy about their investment.

I've no doubt they expect promotion this season. The increase in attendences and feel good factor may give another years grace. Ultimately the buck stops with Ashton and US firms can be ruthless when circumstances dictate.

I think it gets harder if we don't go up this year. It wil be year 3 for some of players and selling players in league 1 means lower fees.

Tremendous momentum has built up off the field especially in the crowd level, interest in the club, feel good factor and off field investment, to go with the excellent momentum on the field. Question is whether the crowd level and feel good factor would be affected by on field failure this year. Hope not but clearly the best way to sustain the off field momentum is promotion on or before 6th May.

If we don't go up. We haven't progressed have we?
We'd have spent more money in the past 18 months than Evans did but ending up with the same result.

I get in comparison to last season so far it's better so yes that is progress. But if we fail to get promoted.. it's just status quo isn't it? No further forward yet spent more?

"We'd have spent more money in the past 18 months than Evans did but ending up with the same result. "

All that proves is that money doesn't guarantee success.
It doesn't matter what you or I think is considered progress, it is what Gamechanger consider progress to be. If we finish in the playoffs but fail to win them they may still consider that significant progress and be prepared to give McKenna and Ashton more time, especially seeing as Mckenna will now have a full season under his belt and in the theory more experience.

They're considering developing part of Portman Road into a home for stray dogs on account of Ipswich being unable to keep hold of leads.

Brutally, I doubt they really care too much about three you list.
And the league position is only meaningful if it means the Championship next season

There is no return for them otherwise.

Higher attendances will not cover the loans they have made, and if we don't go up then we start on no points, as do the other 23 club come the start of next season.

They'll be thinking this is a project that is planned to take quite a few seasons and general progress is forward.. they will have watched the Oxford game, and the Rotherham game, as well as Lincoln and Plymouth.

They'll know the Plymouth project is 1-2 seasons ahead of ours.

That they have a rookie manager with a 52% win rate, who has us in automatic promotion contention in his first full season in management, and is playing a style that is attracting 29k fans and the highest iFollow revenue of any club. They will also see the phenomenal shirt and awat ticket sales/demand.

They'll be pleased with monies spent on Davis and the bringing through of Humphreys, into a valuable asset.

They will be concerned at the risk of not making automatic; but aware play-offs is still likely with associated revenue. Pleased we have progressed to round 4 of the FA Cup.

Perhaps concerned Ladapo and Harness are needing reinforcements, despite funding their moved in the summer, concerned Camara has been wasted money this term. But fully aware Hirst was an existing target.

Overall think they'll be positive, patient, whilst aware of risks. I sincerely hope McKenna has lots of credit in the bank and only by this stage NEXT season (IF we don't go up this season) when automatics look unlikely would alternatives even be considered.
