If that's truly the case, there's no chance this game goes ahead tomorrow. It's probably rock solid from multiple ground frosts and won't have anywhere near enough time to thaw out tomorrow. | | | |

Not that a single sheet would make any difference against a deeply frozen pitch, but no, for the previous game that was called off (when local grassroots game were going ahead), there was nothing on the pitch at all.
They don't have undersoil heating and can't afford those fancy roll on heaters we have, so we are in the hands of mother nature.
That said, its nowhere near as cold as it was a few weeks back. | |
