Mental. I've been once, 20th Jan 2018, possibly the worst game i've ever seen. We were in the upper tier and I don't reckon there was more than 400 of us in there. 400 of us hopeful of some sh*thouse win, but ultimately expecting to be bored and frustrated. Can't believe some fans want to go back in time to those days!

In the main, I imagine we have a pretty dreadful record at Bolton?

See this thread On this day, 7 years ago.... by SaleAway 8 Mar 2023 12:36We blew a 2-0 lead away at bottom side Bolton, conceding a 97th minute equaliser when Ainsley Maitland-Niles got robbed trying to shepherd the ball out for a goal kick and conceded a penalty.
I only had 20 minutes to drive home that night... I always felt for those that had the long trip back to Suffolk.
Lets hope for a better result on Saturday. COYB! our record there is not bad at all

Not too bad actually. Since 2012 it’s been W, D, D, D, D, D, W, W, L Including a 5-0 thrashing we gave them when they were unable to put a first team out.

Is it a 5-0 thrashing if they couldn’t put out a first team? Or is it just a 5-0 win?

I'm obviously thinking back to some poor performances of the past I discount the 5 - 0 simply because of the circumstances with it, it's amazing they have rebuilt as quickly really

Ah yes, when the Peterborough chairman was crying that our game should be replayed because it wasn't fair we got to play them at that time.

I don’t discount it. Had a great day out.

Bolton numbers on 14:38 - Mar 8 with 1815 views | Stenvict | Atmosphere wise, it's a shame they didn't give us the lower tier first, but the view will be a lot better from the upper tier. On the TV, it'll look like the away end is empty.

Surely it’s easier to make noise in the upper tier as we’ll be nearer the roof?

Bolton numbers on 17:32 - Mar 8 with 1484 views | ITFC_Forever | I’m going, and I hate the place. Saw a 0-2 and 0-1 at the end of the 1999 season, and then a 1-1 and 2-2 in 2000. Then the most annoyed I’ve been at a Town game in 2002 when we lost 1-4 in a shocking display which was a key relegation battle. We stayed to the end, but as we were 0-4 down at half-time, a decent number of Town fans left after the first half. I haven’t been back since, but I’m going on Saturday and hoping for much better than that awful day in April 2002.

1-1 draw , Garner equalized for us. The game was truly dreadful and the only time we were in the upper tier.

I realise I need to move on but I’m still angry about that 1-4 capitulation:massive 6 pointer and we simply downed tools.

This will be the first time I have been in the upper tier there since then. I left when we were 4-0 down and heard a distant muted cheer when Clapham scored.
