I've got the opposition commentary. Apparently Clarke is a centre-back who is being asked to fill in at right back.

Lol. Luke Chambers tribute act?

Clarke really does look like that, until he starts moving! Amazing to have someone so physically strong who's so quick. Modern defender innit.

I've got the Ipswich commentary with Aluko sitting alongside someone who is not the usual commentator.

He seems to me an improvement.

I realized it was a Town commentator, which means it was a town person say he is a centre-back filling in at right-back. O_o

He's the normal ifollow dude. He's initially fine but is prone to the odd bout of nonsense.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

I can't remember what he said his name is but it's not the usual chap, Glenn.

They do sound quite similar but I think I prefer him, even though he was perhaps a bit too optimistic at the beginning.

He's perhaps a little less Partridge-like.

I don't think Sone has a future as a pundit.

Oh, and it seems we are The Tractor Boys again now. No longer the Super Blues ....

Perhaps I'm confusing two chaps who sound essentially the same. Both a bit village standard.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

The use of ‘tractor boys’ so much was getting a bit irritating, personally.

At least for audio only listeners the regular guy tells us immediately when we've scored, instead of waffling about in a monotone while we work out from the distant cheering of our travelling fans what's happened ...

Well I've been slagging him off in a different thread for no reason then! Both poor anyway imo.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Being able to watch the game, that wasn't obvious to me but I certainly think they will have to improve the audio-only product for next season because neither commentator is a patch on Brenner.

Incidentally, Robins TV offers Radio Bristol for the audio-only, so it would be nice if we could follow suit.

Whilst I preferred him to Glenn (at least on video), neither is a patch on Brenner, who wasn't available online today, but has been for a surprising number of games this season.
