A few things I'd say in general about transfer speculation around our players:
1. It will happen, they're good players, playing well in a good side.
2. I'm pretty certain that most of our squad will be very happy here at a happy and upwardly mobile club, and see playing with us in the Championship as a good place to be next season.
3. Some may have their heads turned by instant money (at a risk to career development) - that is their right if they choose to but I don't get the impression that many if any are particularly mercenary.
4. If any do go, I would warmly thank them for being important parts of this season and genuinely wish them good luck wherever they move to.
5. I have absolute faith that the club are well prepared to bring in suitable replacements - the whole club from top down have demonstrated nothing but professionalism, ambition and general excellence so far.
6. We are going up.
We're no longer a club that can be derailed by somebody tempting our one or two star players away, with an owner who will trouser the money and set us back three years. We have quality throughout the team and are on the front foot in terms of recruitment whether or not one or two go. |  |

A good manager, which McKenna is, will evaluate any offers on any of our players, source a replacement and take the profit. Some such as Chaplin, Broadhead, Walton, Davis may be looked at by those in a higher League. a player such a Freddie should we be promoted may be looked at by a Division One club that's been relegated. Maybe all will stay. But it's a certainty that Keogh will either leave or be used to teach defenders at the club. As for the loan players or those on short term contracts who knows. | | | |

The risk of losing players (and manager for that matter) really only exists from clubs higher up the food chain IMO. I can't see us losing anyone to a club in the same division.
If we get promoted that obviously becomes way less of a risk as you would have to question how many Premier League clubs would be looking at our players off the back of a season in L1. It's possible, but unlikely.
If we don't go up, it's certainly a risk from bigger Championship sides. If we do go up its probably only a couple of players that might tempt a handful of lower PL clubs (whoever wins the Championship playoffs might well be one of those). |  |
