44.9.1 Clubs shall be permitted to name up to a maximum number of Players in their Squad List based on the following provisions:
(a) in respect of Championship Clubs, 25 Players of which a minimum of 8 must be a Home Grown Player;
44.9.2 The following Players do not need to be included in the Squad List to be eligible to play in League Matches:
(a) in respect of Championship Clubs, any Under 21 Player (save for any Under 21 Player who is registered with the Club on a Temporary Loan Transfer)

I can see Aluko and Keogh taking up coaching roles.
Ahadme, Coleman, Harper, Penney, Pigott and Vincent-Young all moved on.
Baggott, El Mizouni, Humphreys and Ndaba sent out on loan.

Loan deals by xrayspecs 30 Apr 2023 13:12Championship squad rules are different to L1.
Clubs are allowed 25 senior players, including keepers. U21s do not count toward total, unless they are loans.
We currently have four senior keepers, 22 senior outfield players plus Cam Humphreys who will still be a U21 next season.
That is not including TJJ and Hirst.
We will need to offload some of the current squad to create space for any senior additions.
Coleman (GK), KVY, Keogh, Luongo and Aluko are out of contract in the summer although the club may have one year options on some of them.
Even if we assume that none of those out of contract get new deals, then we will only have four spaces for new additions, with only Ladapo as a recognised forward and Luongo leaving the club.
Going to be interesting to see if the club look to upgrade some of the players whose deals extend into next season who have been more on the peripherally or injured - Evans, Camara, Jackson and Fridge.
EDITED: meant Jackson, not Chaplin. Added Edmundson.

I could see Jackson moved on as although he is speedy and tbh I like Jackson, what does he really bring to the team. A sppeedy winger that could score a few goals would be better. If the right offers came in I could even see Ladapo moved on as I am not sure he will cut the mustard in the Championship, but would due to his goalscoring be an ideal candidate for a team that like Town wanted to get out of League One. With 20 goals he has to be worth £750,000 to a million ? Edwards I think has the chance to go on, the right nurturing could see him as an important part of the team. Ladapo got 9 goals in a struggling Rotherham team in the Championship at a rate of 0.39 per 90.
He may not be our starting striker for next season but I'll be a bit surprised if someone who now fully understands our patterns of play and has a great goal return for the minutes he's played is moved on. | |
