Saturday just made his summer negotiating a lot easier, he’ll be milking that footage and asking transfer targets to imagine what promotion to the Prem will look like.

I think it puts any doubts George Hirst might have had to bed as well. In fact, all of those players must be absolutely bewildered by the scenes (day and night) in the town, so I don’t think we have to worry about retention. Something makes me think we have a very relaxing and enjoyable summer ahead.

He was dancing in the town centre singing we hate Norwich circa 10pm. He’s 24 and had a fair few false starts in his career. If it’s his choice, he stays IMO.

Hirst was going crazy in the changing room. Hladky was the most reserved in my opinion, but it may just be his personality.

Wouldn't suprise me to see Hladky move on. He's good enough to be a L1 starter somewhere. Depends what he wants i guess.

Also lack of celebrating may be because he didn't get much game time?

Ipswich has been a hard sell to new transfer targets in the past.

- Long way from home for large number of players
- Relatively quiet town
- Tier 3 going no were fast
-rigid wage structure with no investment

Now ---
Every player is thinking...wow look at that...

- great up and coming manager with lots of network links to potentially jettison a young starlet to the premiership (with or without the Town)
-quiet life allows players to act like normal people in town
-A team spirit and chemistry like no other

Interesting you pick up on that, because the possibility of bumping into players in town when going about just doing normal stuff, is the thing that really brought me in as a fan when I spent 2 years at college in Ipswich in the 70s, having never had any interest in football before.

Then as now, town and Town were very much one integrated community.

I think the fans have fully infected these players with norwich dislike.

Can’t wait to see Chaplin wack one in at PR next year and run to their little corner, then take an age to pull his socks up
