Maybe we d moved into others targets since our 3 bids have been rebuffed . There comes a point where we say as a club fair f ref bough , that’s our let, we don’t bd held to ransom. Posh are cjearly ( like they always do) talk up a bidding war . They’re very good at doing this in their efforts to get top dollar . Do we think Taylor is worth more than we we’ve currently bid? I don't like all the public chat. Not least, it shows some disrespect towards the player, by discussing his future out in the open, imo.
But, at the same time, you can't blame DM for trying to drum up a bidding war. Posh have some well publicised financial issues of their own. And they've transfer listed a fair few of their top players. So could need funds for a rebuild if other clubs come in for the likes of JCH..
We have to assume that KM sees Taylor as an important target. And if he wants him, then Ashton has the unenviable task of trying to deal with DM and everything that comes with that. It's Ashtons job to navigate that one..
The club have been fully supportive , it would appear, in terms of KMs recruitment policy, so far. My guess would be, that we will say in the hunt for Taylor, price wise. But have other targets in mind. It could come down to where Taylor himself prefers to be.
As much as fans can get impatient with deals taking time to happen. I get the impression that dealing with Posh is never straight forwards. So, if we are still in the hunt for Taylor, then it might be one of those that drags on. The longer the window drags on , the more it plays into DMs hands. |  | | |
