I think it may be time to take advantage of Christian Waltons obvious advantage in helping us to defend set pieces.... they are slowly becoming more of a problem and with Burgess going away soon I think we are going to need a dominant goalkeeper... Was had done little wrong over the season but again I am starting to sense a drop off of form/luck(moreso) so perhaps it might be a consideration on KMs mind.
I'm not trying to blame VH in anyway for today just looking at the practicalities of the coming month or so not necessarily the next game but maybe we should have an eye on getting him back in the team.
Sorry, its probably just me finding it hard to stomach a defeat .... I've got used to not having too!

He could play centre half maybe? Sky said it was our 2nd goal conceded from a corner, so not a big problem, surely?
I'd be more worried about the defence who have consistently looked weak when other teams attack with pace. Morsy and Luongo leave them exposed and Clarke often looks indecisive and lost. Tuanzebe had one of those days which made him look like David Linighan. Woolfenden and Burgess for me vs Leicester. With more cover from the midfield... at least for the first 20 minutes, so we can settle.
"......Paul Mariner......John Wark...... Brian Tablet...errrrrrr Talbot"

Axel not had enough game time yet for good partnership/s to be formed?
Anyone know why Wolfy didn't start? Just squad rotation to cope with so many games?

Woolfenden tends to be the one who drops out when Tuanzebe gets game time - happened against Rotherham, Coventry(?) and Watford too. I thought it was the right decision at the time, considering the performance at West Brom, and Tuanzebe has done well up to now. I think we were done both tactically and man-for-man today.

Tuanzebe had a good game i thought. I was watching with LUFC fans and they said that he was our best player

Problem with axel.
He spends 80 minutes looking like a world class defender
But he's been awkwardly involved in many of the goals we've conceded when he has played.

2 goals conceded from set pieces all season.
My only point is that we failed to deal with that with both centre halfs and striker in there.... we will be missing probably our most dominant arially centre half soon and even today would Walton have just plucked that out of the air?.... im not trying to blame anyone and I was happy eith the team picked today..... its just something I think is worth thinking about as we as a team try to develop new strategies.

Your occasional reminder that Walton does not pluck everything out of the air.
It's a bit of a problem really because I see the point you are making Walt is better at crosses he can get of his line and catch corners Hlaky rarely does that and does not command his box in the same way as Walt does but and it is a great big but Hladky has been very good a d is very important to the way we play out from the back .Also the point has been made only conceded twice from corners . I do wonder which of our 2 keepers the defenders feel more confident in suspect its Walton .

Let's be clear, I wouldn't have picked Walton before the game yesterday, my point is more aimed at the month going forward when the most arielly dominant player in our squad will be missing.... the fact that a corner at regular corner height whizzed across our 6 yard box unimpeded just alerted myself to the fact a goalkeeper of Watons stature would have a decent chance of catching that at full stretch and nullifying the situation, I also don't believe that watching VH be such an important part of our passing from the back system that he has spent the last 3 months sitting on his backside thinking woe is me and not working to get better and challenge himself to get better in that are so if a chance comes along he is ready? Also Leeds identified the best areas to press us where closer to their own goal which gave them better opportunities to break on us at a pace we found difficult to cope with .Finally my point about luck is highlighted by Vas great save from the header for the first goal agai.n.....in previous matches we've always managed to clear or scramble those away but yesterday we just got it all wrong and his great effort was undone. Please please don't think I'm blaming Vas ...im just doing the normal fan thing of over analysing a defeat because I can't bear seeing my team lose!

We are more or less saying the same thing but I will add that in the WBA and Leeds games our performance off the ball has been poor not sure if it is too many games in a short space of time or lack of confidence as Leeds ha e generally better players than us . I remember Kieran saying early in the season if we let our standards drop we will be in trouble this has just happened a couple of times now . Think we will be looking to improve our strength in depth as for me we have several in our squad who are not good enough to start games in top end Championship matches .

Hladky pulled off a worldy to save the first header. Not his fault axel just stood pondering what to do next.
Axel looked miles off it yesterday - surprised me tbh. Morsy and Luongo too. Morsy needs to get this ban out of the way and crack on.
Sure it’s been said but overall they were streets ahead of us man for man and it could have been worse couldn’t it. Nothing changes - win the games we’re “supposed” to win and we’ll be fine.

Axel just seems to go through games like they are u21 fixtures.
He's a class above in some aspects but in others he's almost in reverse.
I don't see the advantage of axel over Wolfenden personally. That may change in the future if he gets fitter and stays at town.. but at the moment in time I do prefer Wolfenden.
Thought our biggest problems were our two full backs or wing backs a midfield that was completely over run. And Morsey not been Morsey to avoid a yellow card.

Appreciate that McKenna is trying to rotate the squad a bit in this busy period, and clearly Axel needs minutes to build up his sharpness, but Woolfy is much the better player for us at the moment.

Quite honestly everyone was miles off it yesterday so not sure pointing the finger at one or two players is fair ! Just my view of course

Yes he did and he is a very good shot stopper but could he have come for the cross and caught it ? The main reason we have only conceded from 2 corners is that Burgess and to a lesser degree Wolf have stuck their head on most of the balls coming g into the box . I think Kieran went with Axel over Wolf is pace Leeds have a of it in their attack . Their Premier class attack destroyed our defence .
