Must say Gallagher is perfect for what we need. on 21:01 - Jan 29 with 2226 views | NthQldITFC | Well based on that, he's not got the same engine, but he's very powerful and will dominate defenders more. Might have to play a slightly narrower game than Hirst with Burns/Broadhead doing a little more wide pressing. Possibly a better hold up player than Hirst though?

Must say Gallagher is perfect for what we need. on 21:12 - Jan 29 with 2007 views | burnbudgiesburn | The truth is, maybe even Blackburn are unsure what the future holds. You wouldn't normally play someone you are dead set on selling. But if they land Jerry Yates on loan they may be more willing to part company given his contract situation.

I like him - but let’s not get completely carried away He’s playing against a team that last year was in the same league as Maidstone :)

I can’t see a deal being close if they played him tonight. Why would they risk him getting injured and messing everything up? Hope I’m wrong but it seems an odd thing to do.

I don't see that the situation has changed really. He's still out of contract in 6 months, they still aren't going to want to trigger the option. He still wants to come here. So, it makes sense to get pushing £2m for him now. Imagine it hinges on getting a replacement. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Clearly an upgrade on Broadhead in that role then!

I thought he was a right busy little so and so and got around the pitch well. It could all be academic though, as he looks a nailed on Blackburn player for the foreseeable.
