I'm not really into blood sports but turned that on just to watch him. Although viewing from the perspective of confirmation bias, it was an absolute car crash.
How on earth anyone with a shred of common sense can vote for him or his party after his comments on the ECHR is beyond me. It was evident that's what turned a number of the audience from silent watching into angrily shouting.
It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.
They started off in a weak position when they called the GE and have spent weeks shooting themselves in the foot. Sunak is thin-skinned, arrogant, weak, and out of touch. Boris Johnson was also all of these things but he managed to perform like a circus clown to try and hide it, Sunak lacks the ability to do that so his contempt for the electorate shines through. Despite my complete lack of faith in Labour to do anything positive, I really hope the Tories get completely wiped out on the 4th of July. They've broken the country and blamed it on everyone but themselves.

The "It's in Strasbourg, right?" moment was pure accidental Partridge. He had no other answer to the usually compliant Fiona Bruce pointing out that the UK was instrumental in setting up the ECHR.
The chap's never had to campaign for anything in his life, and this election campaign has brought it right to the fore.
He's suddenly realising that, when you've got an electorate of almost 50 million, you can't just bribe your way through by throwing Great Offices of State at anyone who wants to challenge you.

And I'll tell you what... It's f**king delicious.
The one time he did have to campaign - he lost to Truss.

This shows how far right the current Conservative party is, very happy to break UK laws and also International laws, politicly they are very close to the BNP.

Whilst Sunak and many of his colleagues deserve what's coming, unlike some of you I can take no joy in watching this car crash play out.
Why not? They've all but destroyed the country over the last 14 years, surely the country deserves a good chuckle watching the Tories being all but destroyed?
It is genuinely extraordinary how little talent there is in the conservative party now.
The likes of Greg Clarke, Amber Rudd, Rory Stewart, David Gauke, Phil Hammond and Dominc Grieve (all kicked out in 2019 by Johnson) could now be the senior figures in the party - their absence, combined with the likes of Gove quitting this time and the electoral disaster they're heading for, there's going to be a complete absence of talented, decent people left.

'They've broken the country and blamed it on everyone but themselves. '
I'm trying to be as objective as possible. My heart and my soul scream out that 90% of the people we have had in government over the last ten years or so are criminally responsible for massive destruction of the fabric of the society of this country. They have pillaged the poor, the environment and the future to squirrel away bigger piles of wealth meaningless for themselves (i.e. at levels which only serve to stoke their egos rather than make any practical difference to their lives) and for their chums both here and overseas. They should be locked up and their 'wealth' should be redistributed to those places where it will actually make a meaningful difference (see above).
That's revenge speaking through me, which is not particularly useful or important.
What we need to do is reset the system, or at the very least reset the boundaries of the system, which both supports and drives their corrupt behaviour. Unfettered free-market capitalism CAN NOT CONTINUE TO WORK in a finite world which is already close to death in both environmental and societal terms (linked obviously). To do that, as individuals, we need to start accepting some inconvenient truths about our own lifestyles, responsibilities and delusions, because we provide the (currently) democratic support and enable the corruption which inevitably floats to the top of our failing system.
Then we can lock the bastards up and take away their ill-gotten gains.

I do hope you're not suggesting that Gove is a talented, decent person.

Coming from the poster who the morning after the Brexit vote stated disappointed remain voters were welcome to leave the country if they didn't like it.
This is absolutely at the door of the populist w*nkers that sold the nation a pack of lies for self promotion. Johnson was never a Brexiteer yet saw the opportunity for career enhancement with nil regards for the lasting damage it would do to the country (especially young people's opportunities)
So yeah, for every single Brexiteer who sneered at those of use who called out the bullsh1t 8 years ago - I take shed loads of pleasure in seeing them getting shown up for empty promised w*nkers they were.
Apols if that's a bit harsh but that's how I feel. Every one of them who loses a seat I'll raise a smile and say "good riddance"
(I should add I reserve my contempt for those who campaigned for rather than voted for Brexit)

To be fair to him, he did campaign in the Tory leadership contest. And lost to Liz Truss who was then outlasted by a lettuce. This campaign seems to be going just about as well.

Amended that for you.
All a bunch of whingy little clowns.
Honestly, I am still undecided although I am leaning towards drawing some form of genitals on my ballot paper. All the manifestos are a bunch of underfunded lies.

I was surprised when Stephen Sackur interviewed Andy Burnham last year there were words to the effect that Burnham didn't like the extremes of holding to party lines and had found Gove decent enough to work with.
