Versatility is always good, but I think he's probably one we're viewing as our right back with Clarke pushing him and Tuanzebe as an option if needs must. I think we'll see someone else come in who can take some of the load off Leif, although there's less football to play this season of course. Those extra 8 games, travel and the ridiculous midweek schedule really makes a huge difference. Nonetheless I do think we'll strengthen there. | | | |

He's predominantly been cover/alternate for Burgess though so presumably depends on another LCB coming in. Think there's a good chance he does move on this summer when someone else comes in. | |

I think so too. I wouldn't be surprised if we bring in 2 new centre halves, one left footed, despite still having Tuanzebe, Woolfenden & Burgess post Edmundson.
.... & another left back. Yes Johnson & Clarke could cover Davis at LB, but we saw last sesson that it can get tricky with injuries (and bookings) if you don't have 4 recognised full backs in the squad. | | | |

I'd expect we'd go for a top left sided CB and Burgess may well end up as the cover.
As much as I love Cam and would like him to have an amazing season, we conceded a lot of goals last year. Yes lots of that was the system and we likely won't be quite as attacking, but there were questions over Burgess and Woolfenden when we got promoted about whether they were good enough and I see both coping in the Premier League but not excelling.
We aren't hear to mess about so wouldn't surprise me at all to see two CB's come in that were deemed starters with Burgess, Woolfenden and Tuanzebe behind them as cover. | | | |

Big call though - when you consider that he's played 6 times in this calendar year for Australia, currently rated above Austria, Ukraine and Sweden. How much would we be paying for a nailed-on better starter? | |
