Stones was immense in their Champions League winning season, sitting just in front of their defence. Surprised Southgate didn’t use him more to link up the defence and midfield (actually I’m not surprised).
We are crying out for some quality in CM so he won’t get a look in for CB. Was hoping for someone with PL experience- didn’t dream it would be a full international. Kudos Ashton once again (assuming it gets over the line!). | | | |
