I think forget the free transfer part. Boro picked up Morgan Rodgers for a free last summer and then sold him for 15M in Jan and now he's ripping it up and has doubled in value again.
As opposed to being a backup to Wes I think it's about being a tandem. Ensuring that there is no physical drop-off from Wes and that we can attack with the same intensity for 90 mins. | | | |

Been trawling Luton forums and rumour we in for Chong as well and general consensus would be gutted to lose either but Chong more so.

I hope he remembers the ball this time. When we played Rotherham on that cold winter night in 2021, he was quick but kept almost running too fast for the ball, aka Danny Haynes. If I remember Bailey Clements was our LB that night and had a good game, although we did lose.
But one interesting thing was Ogbene and Ladapo had a good understanding. Maybe KM is bringing him in with the plan to keep Ladapo and rekindle that partnership. | | | |

He is similar to Burns in that regard - very pacey, physical and good in the air whilst comfortable across all positions on the right.
Given I think we lose quite a bit when Burns isn’t there I’d be happy with this one. |  | | |

Said in the summer I would sign this guy so am pleased it is happening and he looked good last season. He will give us the dynamic aspect we miss when Wes is out, plus he has the experience. A good deal - just surprised it's come so late in the window, but maybe the Burns injury forced our hand.
