Yes.

Leif has had a good start to the season but will still take a lot to get him an England call up imo. Especially with the systems used now, lots of managers will happily use Left footed Centre Halves. Colwill has featured there, Rico Lewis, Lewis Hall, Livramento are ahead of Leif.

Poll: Will Paul Lambert be Ipswich Town manager on the final day of this season ?

Not sure I would agree he’s had a good start to the season. I thought the first 3 games he was well off the pace and at fault for a few of our goals. He’s improved without a shadow of a doubt, feels too early 6 games in the prem for him to be called up.

If he hasn’t / isn’t called up this week then I just don’t know when he will. Believe Shaw is injured, same with Chilwell, Colwill has been playing CB for Chelsea, Livramento not really playing for Newcastle, Trippier doesn’t work at left-back.

Haven’t seen if the squad is announced, but assume they’ll pick Joe Gomez, knowing Colwill can play there and also think Lewis Hall is favoured over Davis, especially coming through the U21’s.

Hope he does get a crack at it of course.

I Doubt he'll get picked. He's done OK but nothing much to stand out. He must be behind people like Mitchell at palace.

Also they'd probably play someone like Colwill at Chelsea ahead of him, despite him usually being a CB.

I doubt he'll receive the call.

As good as I think he is, and despite how important he is for us - as with all he is still adjusting to the pace of the premier league.

I think he struggled against the top level opposition in the early games.

He'll keep on improving and developing, but right now, there are others ahead of him at England.

Too early as yet. He's done OK, but not so well as to put himself ahead of those already in the squad.

Was close enough in the summer for him not to go on the Las Vegas trip in case it happened. Assume he was on the long list whose passport details had been asked for.

Not a something that made the news, but GS called LD pre the euros and told him to not book a holiday as if Shaw was ruled out he’d make the preliminary squad.

So he’s clearly on the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 radar

Honestly, I don't see why not. We're not blessed with lots of talented natural left-backs.

I'd have thought they might want to have a look at least.

It’s only a matter of time, he’s an incredible talent. That through ball for Delap on Sunday…..

What an inspired signing for 1.5m too - Leeds must be kicking themselves.

Don't want him in the shop window to much. Also, don't wanting playing more games than he has to. Anyway, in answer to your question, yes, it is to early.

Could be called up just to be part of the squad so coaches can assess his abilities closer, and he gets some experience of being part of an England squad rather than selected to play, England have done that a few times

You would’ve thought a nations league game that nobody gives a toss about against Greece would be a very suitable time to have a look at him close up, but who knows. Carsley is probably seeing it as an extended interview though so wouldn’t surprise me if he plays it a bit safer.

He should be - but I'd rather he didn't, for our own selfish reasons!
