Not some gaudy addidas rubbish. Not something for Portman Road where there is a roof. Something in which I can say "stick you, your mama too and your daddy" to wind, rain, and cold at youth and non league games, when combined with a waxed hat.
My current mountain warehouse coat is becoming snug, and not as warm as it used to be. I fancy something a bit more high end anyway.

Parkers are back in vogue. The sort us poor kids in the 80s were packed off to school in to have the piss ripped out of us constantly. But now they’re fashionable for some reason, and more importantly look warm and are fully waterproof.
When selecting an appropriate cost for today I had a choice of;- SuperDry winter coat V A coat supplied by my former employer for the occasional co-coordinating stint
I chose the corporate wear with the logo of a company that no longer exists, much better quality.
The only thing I would say Opie in my newly self appointed role as a tree hugger, is there are loads of great coats on Vinted. Buy second hand. I got a brilliant Bailo coat on there for £35 cost 250 new 20 years ago in perfect condition.
In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

I bought the Fjallraven singi parka (in blue of course) which is very similar about 2 days ago. It was incredibly cosy as it was the version with down insulation and fully waterproof. Fantastic when I was out walking the dog during the cold weather recently. Ironically now the temperatures have risen, I dare not wear it today as I will be like a boiled lobster inside it. Oh well, back to the tried and tested old coat.

I like Fjallraven stuff. Though the parka appears to be water resistant rather than proof.

Water proof maybe too strong a word. Certainly the G1000 coating makes it very water resistant and if you apply wax the sell to the more vulnerable areas like the shoulders on top of that it would make it pretty much water proof. I won't be doing that though as it will certainly keep me dry enough as it is.

Ah, but was he the inspiration for a Rod Stewart album?
Spurs fans back in the day would agree, "An old Ralph Coates won't ever let you down"

Well let's hope the Amorim wind doesn't change a thing.
