From the little I've seen of Forest they look a team designed to play on the counter attack, lots of pace and power, fairly tight at the back (until the last 2 games), big target man to play up to.
Will be interesting to see how that pans out against us - will they look to play a bit more on the front foot against a 'lesser' team, or will the last 2 games (6 conceded) make them be a bit more cagey?
I'm unsure as to whether they are in a 'false' position based on a few early wins, or if they are this season's surprise package, and I think tomorrow might answer that.

I’m nervous for some reason.
I was nervous for last week as well.
I think it’s because the results mean something and I don’t want us to lose where as earlier in the season I wasn’t nervous for the games because it was the start of the experience or something like that.
Plus we haven’t won at the City ground since 1999 and tomorrow will be my 9th or 10th visit with only a few draws to show from it.
But then we’ve never been managed by McKenna there! So here’s hoping, would love a win. |  |

Do fear they're the sort of team we'll struggle against this season (and have done already) - solid and physical through the middle, good target outlet up front with pace and trickery down the flanks to feed off him.
Lowish scorers but also lowish conceders (last two games put a bit more of a dent in the goals conceded column).
Maybe it's a classic 'good time to play them' as we're starting to find our feet a bit more and they've had a couple of chastening defeats back to back - the atmosphere might get a bit nervy if we can keep them out or better get a goal ahead.

I'm not massively confident just because we never seem to win there. Historic results against certain sides is a stat that winds me up generally, results from 20 years ago have absolutely no relevance to today, but as a fan who has been in that away end a number of times its generally been fruitless, and I struggle to see past that. Not to mention the fact they're clearly a good side who have spent a lot of money over the past few years, with an in form centre forward and a manager I rate. We've got some of those ourselves though.
It feels like one that'll either be really tight a la Brentford and Spurs where we'll be in it throughout, or we'll gift them an early goal and get put to bed pretty quickly. It just has the hallmarks of that Leeds away last season sort of game to me. Hopefully not though, there's enough evidence over recent weeks that we can be competitive against anyone in this division. Its really important we keep them out for the first 20-30 minutes and feel our way into the game. |  | | |

I think getting that first win has taken the pressure off, conscious or otherwise so I hope that will show in the forthcoming games. If we can do it at Spurs then we can do it against most teams.
That said, like all teams in this league this will be really tough and providing we can start winning some home games soon I'll happily take a point in any away match, including tomorrow. |  |

Like you, I have lots of memories from the City Ground over the years, mainly bad.
I remember Ian Atkins getting a consolation in a 3-1 defeat (mid eighties I think), a 4-1 stuffing and seem to remember we were 4-0 down at half time. Thankfully I am not going, so hopefully the hoodoo ends. | | | |
