I dont think it was turned up that loud, its very wind direction dependent ime.
like I could hear Music in the park quite clearly on Sunday from East Ipswich, to the point I spent most of the day blaming near neighbours for the noise till I worked it out, and whilst I could occasionally hear like high notes/loud tannoy style stuff encouraging the crowd I guess, from Eds stuff, it wasnt that noticeable.
bearing in mind when Jet scored many seasons ago, with probably not much more than half full stadium, I could hear the crowd cheer from my back garden.
and again I can often enjoy the sound of the Ipswich witches at Foxhall, yet their last home fixture, couldnt hear a thing.
still I remember being at the old snooker place opposite the ground when Neil Diamond was on and didnt hear anything either |  | | |
