Nobody should be written off on one game or to be honest in most circumstances. I've been critical of a couple tonight though. Not even really on the football side but more on the desire to do the stuff off the ball. For me it's more of a case that oke or two need to learn from tonight and show a bit more fight in a league where you will get these gritty, tough slog games. |  |

If people were writing off new players after one game, I'd agree with you but I feel like you had a point but these are players whose performances have been questioned on more than one occasion. | |

I like Clarke. I also think he had a very good pre-season and deserved to start.
Tonight, he was poor though. Some of his passing was awful and he didn't chase people down like he did in those pre-season games. These are things you should be getting right wherever you play on the pitch.
Again, people are questioning his ability and place in our the team, not writing him off. | |

I'm not writing any of them off dude! We can be disappointed with performances of players. I even caveated the comment with the comment "it's early days". You're looking for something that isn't there.
My thread was only stating that these players had not shown that they were players that were going to excel at this level, when it should be expected that they should. I'm not saying they won't, just that they have shown a continuation of their weaknesses from last year.

Cajuste is class. Greaves and O'Shea are solid at this level and might make the jump with time.
Omari is class and good enough to hit the squad of most mid-Prem sides.
Serious concerns about Philogene above the championship (thought it was a signing littered with red flags) and Clarke needs moving on. Not seen enough of Ogbene but thought it was a good signing at the time and he has little football under his belt. | |
