What a very shambolic performance by Lammy today 21:37 - Nov 5 with 5627 viewsonceablue

Was he serious?

That was the most aggressive I have ever seen an MP, disgraceful behaviour

Shouting pointing his figure leaning over the dispatch box.

The Tory MP continued to ask a question but unfortunately didn’t get an answer.

Why no poppy as well doesn’t he feel our veterans deserve honouring

Was just making sure it actually happened and it wasn’t a nightmare.

Setting a good example to the nation and all that!!!

Unfortunately googled Lammy just before I posted and there it was.

Lammy is quite confrontational, that's his thing

The Tories have some cheek to be pushing government on the issue, given it's literally their fault the justice system is in a state of disrepair

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Badenoch gets made a fool of on a weekly basis at PMQs but strangely you never seem to mention her.

Confrontational!

I would go a bit further than that. It was aggressive and shameful.

Particularly at a time when it is rife in society

I was going to find out what actually happened, but now we’ve got Dan’s unbiased and nuanced view I don’t need to bother.

It was a bit of a weird one. Tory stand-in used all his questions to keep asking whether any other prisoners had been incorrectly released since the Ethiopian chap, and Lammy essentially refused to answer.

It was an obvious trap, but apparently Lammy had already been briefed anyway.

I'm assuming Lammy didn't have all the details at that point, otherwise it's a very weird approach.

It gor about a second of airtime on the Beeb so they didn't consider it notable

Cheers buh, I genuinely hadn’t seen anything. So it was the theatre of PMQs then. (A) it’s all about scoring points at any cost, so largely meaningless (B) it seems that Labour nevertheless do have some questions to answer as things have got worse under their watch, (C) I still can’t get over Dan Hodges being used to try to win an argument

That's none of your or anyone else's business. A poppy is not a legal requirement for anyone. Your questioning it is more disrespectful than him not wearing one.

So the justice system, underfunded for more than a decade, is imperfect.

And that is a political point for the team that ran it for most of the last 15 years?

The Tories have absolutely no credit in the bank on this one, they caused the problems

It was pretty well known they had left Labour with an absolute shambles of a system

Odd last comment. Dan Hodges wasn’t used to win an argument. There is no argument.

I just thought that having seen Lammy’s woeful performance, Hodges summed it very well in an amusing way.

Seeing the whips scrambling around trying to get a poppy for Lammy, before finally borrowing one off another Labour MP was worth the license fee. It then went downhill further.

Interesting you don't remember Chairman Nige flouncing off to the Gallery because people were taking the piss our of him for being a lazy facist grifter in the pocket of Putin and not getting the questions he wasn't asking, answered.
