I’m bored of the tears of rage from yesterday, the jealousy over everybody else’s brilliant signings, but BDS was complimented, maybe even more than that over his winter coat. So as a distraction, what coat is your standard winter wear?
Mine is an aged green Barbour parka length coat with the usual brown collar. Not the waxed version. Frayed sleeves, tatty, bit crumpled and stained and the coat is too!! But from the day I bought it, it fitted like a glove.

Currently a black Penfield parka with a big hood and nice big pockets for stuff! Removable inner jacket so can be used in all temperatures.
Had it about a year and still love it - although I have managed to get myself temporarily stuck in it on occasions after snagging the zip. |  |

Excellent! My ski jacket is black north face and I’ve had it for years serving me well in the coldest of climates. Because it’s heavy duty with a detachable fleece, it only gets used here on the coldest of days, so rarely. North Face stuff is brilliant quality. Big thumbs up. | | | |

Good aren't they? I've got an older version of that, stick a decent fleece underneath and it's really warm.

Being a person in my mid seventies I have had many coats through the years. When I was seventeen I was abit of a mod. Had a Lambretta SX150 red and white with mirrors, a back rest and a tigers tail hanging from the back. Fell boots and a parka.
Moving on a couple of years I had a brown herringbone double breasted coat.
I remember taking a South African girl out and bought a pair of buff coloured cords and a buff coloured pair of Levi cords to match.
When I went with my friends to a nightclub I wore one of those sheepskin coats like the one John Motson wore on MOTD.
Moving on to today I wear mostly a Superdry camo pattern hooded jacket with a pair of joggers.
I also splashed out a few years ago on a Crombie, although I sometimes question my sanity as it cost about £600 and I have worn it three times. | | | |
