Apparently he's still in Japan. Was on TV there yesterday.
Would Imagine that he is flying back tomorrow and landing at LHR Thursday morning. 24 hours to get rested, over the Jet Lag, and then do his medical on Friday.

Signing done over the weekend, announced on Monday.

You are absolutely right that the weekend is later in the week but if you'd asked me what day 'later in the week' was I'd have said Thursday and wouldn't have been able to explain why that day in particular!!!!!!
